Warren Bicycle Works is focused on designing and manufacturing common-sense accessories that increase the everyday functionality of bicycles.  Our mission is to create products and spread ideas that make casual cycling simpler, more useful, and more fun.  We want you to enjoy your bike so much that you'll move it to the front of the garage and ride it more.  WBW strives to design long-lasting products and to manufacture them in the USA.

INSPIRATION

I have always ridden bikes a lot, and I'd been using my old clunker to get around my neighborhood.  I wanted to ride more places – to the store and the beach – but carrying stuff was a hassle.  I wished I had an old Schwinn Cycle Truck, like they use on movie lots, but they had become collectible, and expensive.  Since I'm a mechanical engineer, I started thinking about converting my beach cruiser bike into a mini cycle truck, and I started working on designs for a frame mounted front basket that could be attached to an existing bike.  After some trials, soon I was installing the second prototype on my daughters beach cruiser.  The basket worked so well that she took it to college and used it for class and errands around campus for three years.  I installed early models on friends bikes, and they liked them so much that I decided to start producing them.  And so, with a little help from friends and family, WBW was born.   – Jim W.
